Just yesterday, my friend Jordan and I presented our project on Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Over the time we had to work on it, we had to overcome a few obstacles, I myself thought that finding certain things on Greece were easier where as Rome were harder to find. But I overcame that obstacle by trying to find certain websites that contained information on both Rome and Greece. I also encountered a problem when we were presenting, Jordan and I both had certain paragraphs memorized, during the presentation, they got mixed up and I had to talk about what Jordan had memorized so I had to try and read my cue cards while he was speaking and memorize them for when I had to speak, but in the end, it worked and we managed to get most of the information across and to the audience.
The most important thing that I learned was how we today have the alphabet that makes sense (sometimes) and we wouldn't have if the ancient Greeks hadn't of created the writing system. Think of how different life would be with a totally different writing system. Jordan and I went above and beyond the criteria by actually learning a ton about how the Ancient Greeks and Ancient Romans lived back then. Before the project, Jordan and I thought we knew a ton about Greece and Rome because we both read a book series that was all about the Greek and Roman history but by the time we were done, we had acquired so much knowledge about them, that we were surprised how much we didn't know about them. I am so happy that I got the opportunity to learn and share my learning with the whole class, and that is why I love school, people say it's boring, but I'm fascinated with all the new things we learn, I'm always trying to learn new things and that's what school lets me do.
